Achieve dental perfection with our seamless restoration solution. Custom-made dental crowns act as protective caps that blend naturally with your teeth, addressing fractures, root canal issues, discolouration, decay, and irregular shapes. They enhance both aesthetics and function, offering durability for over 15 years. Ideal for supporting bridges, implants, and cosmetic improvements, our specialised expertise ensures smiles that stand the test of time.

What To Expect At A Dental Crown Appointment?

Examination & Preparation

Your dental crown journey begins with a comprehensive examination. Our experienced dentist will assess and thoroughly clean your teeth, preparing them for a seamless crown placement. If any damage or decay is detected, we carefully remove the affected areas to build a robust foundation. This essential preparation not only restores oral integrity but also provides long-lasting protection and improved function.

Crafting the Perfect Crown

Next, we take meticulous impressions of your teeth using dental putty. These detailed impressions form the basis for creating your customised porcelain crown. While your permanent crown is being crafted, a temporary crown is provided to maintain both function and comfort. For dental implants, we also capture impressions of the implant and surrounding teeth to ensure a precise, natural fit. Our commitment to precision ensures that your crown is tailored to your unique needs, enhancing both performance and aesthetics.

Crown Placement

At your follow-up appointment, your temporary crown is replaced with your permanent crown. It is securely attached using durable dental cement or a concealed screw, ensuring stability and longevity. We then polish the crown and make any necessary adjustments to guarantee your comfort and renewed confidence.

Dental Crown Costs in Niagara: What Factors Affect Pricing?

The cost of a dental crown varies from patient to patient due to several key factors. While insurance coverage can help offset expenses, understanding these elements is essential:

  1. Crown Type and Material: The choice of crown—whether porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-porcelain, or zirconia—affects the price. Each option offers unique benefits in durability and aesthetics.
  2. Procedure Complexity: The extent of tooth damage and the need for additional treatments impact the overall cost. More complex procedures ensure superior restoration, promoting enhanced oral function and protection.
  3. Number of Crowns Needed: Multiple crowns will naturally increase the total cost. Your treatment plan is tailored to restore both the function and appearance of your smile.
  4. Combination with Other Dental Appliances: In some cases, crowns are integrated with other treatments, such as bridges or implants, which can further influence pricing.
  5. Specific Treatment Requirements: Additional supplies, specialised equipment, or extra procedures required for your unique dental care also contribute to the final cost.

Restoring your smile with a dental crown not only strengthens and protects your teeth but also delivers significant medical and cosmetic benefits. Our dedicated dental team is committed to transparent pricing and will help you make informed decisions about your dental care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental crowns are advised for several reasons. They restore cracked teeth, fortify a tooth following a root canal, and improve the appearance of discoloured or misshapen teeth, ensuring both enhanced function and aesthetic appeal.

With proper care and maintenance, dental crowns can typically last between 10 and 15 years or even longer.

Generally, the procedure is not painful, as it is performed under local anaesthesia to keep you comfortable throughout the process.

The process usually requires two appointments—one for preparation and impressions, and a second for the crown placement.

Yes, modern dental crowns are expertly designed to mimic the appearance of natural teeth, blending seamlessly with your smile.

Absolutely. While you can enjoy most foods, it’s advisable to avoid extremely hard or sticky items that could compromise the crown.

Dental insurance may partially cover the cost, but coverage details can vary depending on your specific plan.

Dental crowns do not respond to whitening treatments. If discolouration occurs, replacement may be necessary.

I am so grateful for this team of compassionate and professional dentists and staff. After an unfortunate dental incident while on vacation in Niagara, they contacted me immediately with an appointment. Reception was lovely as well as the dental assistant and dentist who got right to work building me a new tooth. My treatment there saved the vacation! I feel very fortunate for their care ❤️

I recently (again) was treated by Dr. Zapata and as always found her very friendly and professional. She always takes every precaution to make sure that her fillings (or anything else she does) fit properly and don't cause any discomfort. Even though going to the dentist is obviously not a very entertaining experience I never have to worry about experiencing pain.
